Vicki is a harpist celebrated for her remarkable versatility and deep passion.
Her musical journey began at the age of 4 with the piano. By 8, she had embraced the flute, and at 10, she added the cello to her repertoire, earning accolades in numerous competitions. Her passion for the harp was sparked during her studies under Zhang Lido, a professor at the Music Middle School Affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Vicki pursued her musical aspirations in the United States. She studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the mentorship of Emmanuel Ceysson. Her education was further enriched through masterclasses with renowned harpists such as Sylvain Blassel, Gillian Benet Sella, and Natalia Shameyeva, alongside personalized guidance from Doug Rioth and Jessica Zhou.
Beyond her classical performances, Vicki’s musical expertise spans a diverse range of platforms, including recordings, live accompaniment for silent films, enriching weddings, parties, and private events, and collaborating with composers to creatively showcase the harp’s unique magic in their compositions. She also teaches students of all ages and skill levels.
Whether performing timeless classics on stage or crafting improvisations for bespoke events, Vicki’s harpistry transcends boundaries. Her dedication, adaptability, and passion for music make every performance a unique and unforgettable experience.
